FluxGrok User Guide
Everything you need to know to automate image and video generation on Grok.

2 ⚠️ Configuring Grok Before Running
⚠️ This is the most important step. FluxGrok does NOT configure Grok's settings — it uses whatever settings are currently active on Grok. If Grok is not correctly configured, your videos and images will not be generated as expected.
Before pressing Run Queue in FluxGrok, go to grok.com/imagine and configure the following:
For Video Generation (Text → Video / Frame → Video)
| Setting | What to configure | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Mode | Make sure video generation is selected | FluxGrok sends prompts to whatever mode is active |
| Duration | 5s or 10s (your preference) | All videos in the batch will use this duration |
| Aspect ratio | 16:9, 9:16, 1:1, etc. | All videos will use this aspect ratio |
| Quality | Standard or High | Affects generation time and credit usage |
For Image Generation (Text → Image / Frame → Image)
| Setting | What to configure | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Model | Select Aurora | Aurora is required for image generation to work correctly with FluxGrok |
| Aspect ratio | Your preference | All images in the batch will use this ratio |
| Style | Photorealistic, artistic, etc. | Consistent style across all generated images |
⚠️ Do not change Grok settings while FluxGrok is running. Changing settings mid-run may cause errors or inconsistent results across your batch.
✓ Tip: Before starting a large batch, test with 1–2 prompts to confirm Grok is generating correctly with your current settings.
3 Generation Modes
FluxGrok supports 4 generation modes:
| Mode | Description | What you provide |
|---|---|---|
| Text → Video | Generate video from text prompt only | Prompts only |
| Text → Image | Generate image from text prompt only | Prompts only |
| Frame → Video | Generate video using a start image + prompt | Images + prompts |
| Frame → Image | Transform/edit an image using a prompt | Images + prompts |
When you switch modes, FluxGrok automatically adjusts the recommended delay between prompts (shorter for images, longer for videos).
4 Building Your Queue
Adding Prompts
Type or paste your prompts in the Prompts text area. Separate each prompt with a blank line:
A futuristic city at night, neon lights
A wolf howling at the moon, dramatic lighting
You can also click Import to load prompts from a .txt file.
Adding Images (Frame modes only)
Drag and drop images into the drop zone, or click to browse. Supported formats: PNG, JPG, GIF (max 10 MB each).
- One per prompt (cycle): Each image is paired with one prompt. If you have fewer images than prompts, images cycle.
- Same image for all: One image is used as the starting frame for all prompts.
⚠️ Image–Prompt Pairing Order
Images are paired with prompts in order: the 1st image goes with the 1st prompt, the 2nd image with the 2nd prompt, and so on. Getting this order right is critical — here is what you need to know.
⚠️ Windows does not preserve the order you clicked. When you select multiple files in Explorer and drop them into FluxGrok, the order is determined by the current sort applied in the Explorer window — not by the sequence of your mouse clicks.
Practical Example
Suppose you have 3 scenes and 3 prompts:
| Desired pairing | Image file | Prompt |
|---|---|---|
| Pair 1 | scene1.jpg | A lion walks slowly across the savanna at dawn. |
| Pair 2 | scene2.jpg | The lion stops and looks directly at the camera. |
| Pair 3 | scene3.jpg | The lion disappears into the tall grass. |
If your Explorer window is sorted by Name (A→Z) and your files are named scene1.jpg, scene2.jpg, scene3.jpg, selecting all three and dropping them will load them in exactly that order — perfect.
But if the files were named lion_final.jpg, lion_draft.jpg, opening_shot.jpg, the order would be alphabetical by filename, which is probably not what you want.
✓ Best practice: name your files with a numeric prefix. Use names like 01_scene.jpg, 02_scene.jpg, 03_scene.jpg. Sort Explorer by Name before selecting. This guarantees the order is always correct.
Two reliable methods to control order
01_, 02_, 03_ at the start of each filename. Sort Explorer by Name, then select all and drop. Files will load in the exact order you defined.
Always verify with the preview
After loading your images and prompts, the Image × Prompt Preview section shows every pair side by side. Check it before pressing Run. If a pair is wrong, click the image thumbnail to swap it for the correct one — no need to reload everything.
Delay Between Prompts
FluxGrok waits a random time between each prompt submission to avoid overloading Grok. Default values:
- Video modes: 30–45 seconds
- Image modes: 10–20 seconds
You can adjust these in the delay fields. If Grok is slow, increase the delay to give more time for generation to complete.
⚠️ Important: The delay is a fixed pause — FluxGrok does not detect when a generation is finished. It submits the next prompt after the delay regardless. If Grok is slow on a given day, increase the delay to avoid overlapping submissions.
5 Settings
| Setting | Description | Default |
|---|---|---|
| Generation timeout | How long to wait before considering a generation failed | 180s |
| Max retries | How many times to retry a failed prompt | 3 |
| Save folder | Subfolder inside Chrome's Downloads folder | fluxgrok |
| File prefix | Prefix for downloaded files (e.g. video_001.mp4) | output |
6 License Activation
FluxGrok offers a Free plan (3 prompts per run) and a Pro plan (unlimited prompts).

7 Troubleshooting
Extension doesn't start / "Not on a Grok page"
Make sure you are on grok.com/imagine (not grok.com or any other page). Click "Navigate to Grok" or open the correct URL manually.
Videos/images not being generated
- Check that Grok is correctly configured (see Section 2)
- For images, ensure the Aurora model is selected in Grok
- Verify your Grok account has enough generation credits
- Try reducing the batch size and testing with 1 prompt first
Generation is incomplete or some prompts are skipped
This usually means Grok was slower than the configured delay. Increase the delay in Settings (try 60–90s for videos, 30s for images) to give Grok more time to complete each generation before the next one starts.
Extension stopped working after a Grok update
This is a known limitation. FluxGrok relies on Grok's web interface. When xAI updates their platform, the extension may temporarily stop working. Check fluxgrok.com for updates or contact support@fluxgrok.com.
License key not activating
- Check the key format:
FG-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX - Make sure you are connected to the internet
- Copy the key directly from your email — avoid spaces
- Contact support@fluxgrok.com if the problem persists
